Last will and testament of Chidi Okafor
1 · Declaration
1.1I, Chidi Okafor of 14 Palm Grove Close, Lekki, Lagos State, declare this to be my last will. I revoke all wills and codicils I have made before.
2 · Executors
2.1I appoint Amara Okafor (wife) to be the executor of this will. If they are unable or unwilling to act, I appoint Ngozi Okafor (sister) in their place.
3 · Guardians
3.1If at my death any child of mine is under the age of eighteen and has no surviving parent with parental responsibility, I appoint Ngozi Okafor (sister) to be the guardian of that child.
4 · Gifts
4.1I give my house at 14 Palm Grove Close, Lekki to Amara Okafor. If they die before me, this gift becomes part of the rest of my estate.
4.2I give my collection of books and my late father's wristwatch to Emeka Okafor. If Emeka Okafor dies before me, I give it to Ada Okafor.
5 · The rest of my estate
5.1I give the rest of my estate, after payment of my debts, funeral and administration expenses and the gifts made above, to the following people in the shares shown: 60% to Amara Okafor (wife), 20% to Ada Okafor (daughter) and 20% to Emeka Okafor (son). If any of them dies before me, their share passes to the others in proportion to their shares.
5.2A person who does not survive me by thirty days is treated as having died before me for the purposes of this will.
6 · Wishes
6.1I express the wish, without imposing any binding obligation, that I am buried in my hometown, Nnewi, after a simple church service.
